Originating from the era of Egeria, the first Hydro Archon, this prophecy was a prediction from the Oceanids or related to the sin of Egeria, not directly decreed by the Heavenly Principles. It stated that if Fontaine's people lost their connection to the divine, they would be judged and drowned. Focalors, the second Archon, discovered she could not simply defy this decree without destroying her own nation. To circumvent the fate, Focalors devised a plan where she separated her divinity from her body, creating Furina as a separate human vessel while Focalors remained as a consciousness within the Oratrice. While Furina lived as a mortal pretending to be the Archon for five hundred years, Focalors stored her divine power and consciousness within the Oratrice, keeping her consciousness separate to guide Furina through their desperate performance. The Hydro Gnosis was kept separately and later given to Neuvillette. This allowed them to manipulate the prophecy's logic: by having the "Archon" die (the divine part) while saving the nation through legal judgment, they could technically fulfill the curse without the destruction. The resolution required Neuvillette, the Dragon Sovereign and Chief Justice, to execute a verdict that stripped the Archon of her divinity. This act satisfied the prophecy's condition regarding death but nullified the punishment of drowning. The event marked the end of the old Hydro Archon lineage and established a new path for Fontaine.
